I recently had the pleasure of visiting Seahorse, an Italian restaurant located conveniently close to my place (just 400 meters away). From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the exceptional staff who made my dining experience truly memorable. The chef, who also happens to be the owner, put his heart into the pasta dishes, and they were absolutely delicious!
While the fries were just average, everything else more than made up for it. We chose to sit outside, but I noticed they also offer a cozy indoor seating option.
One thing that stood out was the attentive service - they even brought water to our table before we had a chance to ask, a small gesture that made me feel welcome and cared for.
If you find yourself in the Randwick area, Seahorse is definitely worth a visit for a delightful Italian dining experience!

The food was good. Outdoor seating was pleasant. And they sat me at 9pm which in Sydney is not to be taken for granted 🤣 What more can you ask for? I will be returning …

This is one of our regular places to eat and bring our friends. The quality of food is outstanding. My favourite is the linguine marinara and the veal Parmesan is to die for. It’s very reasonably priced. All the food comes out fresh and clean. Never had a problem. The service is great. The family is great. We love coming here to eat. More

Seahorse Italian restaurant is a very popular place to eat at The Spot in Randwick. The staff are super friendly and the food is always delicious. I really enjoyed the grilled fish with vegetables and potatoes for dinner and the flourless chocolate cake was lovely.

While the food was good and flavorful… unfortunately, the service from the old man was rude and disrespectful. After 26 minutes we asked him politely how long for our food to be served and his reply was shocking and arrogant… I come from … More

This is my second time being here. The flavours are SO GOOD. And prices are fantastic! I'll be back. There was a communication mishap with some of the table service when we just asked about how far away our meals were, his response was a little strange. But he did insist on putting a rush on them and the meals came out shortly after. One of my favourite places to eat if I don't want to spend lots of $.

Having once lived in the area over six years ago I recommended a couple to join me for dinner as the food was always consistent.
Well last night was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Firstly I booked a table for 3 at 7.30 upon arrival we were sat on a table of 2 with an added chair, needless to say it was very cramped.
As it was difficult to get any floor staff attention I had to go to the service area and ask for our mineral water. It took forever to arrive.
We ordered 4 dishes to share between the three of us. The food took over 1 hour and 35 mins to arrive.
After 40 mins I asked how much longer our food was going to take, we were told 5-10 mins. It was now 9pm snd we were not offered any bread and no apology or reason for the delay.
The claim of homemade pasta was false. In the past it was homemade not any more. The taste and structure was of a store bought pasta with a freshly made description, the kind were you pay more due to the freshly made label.
The calamari were the sizes of a small wedding ring and very little in quantity.
The white bait was terrible all you could taste was flour and there was no whitebait visible in the mixture. It was bland and burnt (it was terrible)
One of the party ordered a salmon dish with veg and said it was good.
My friend got up to pay the bill and there was no explanation nor apology.
1 out of 10, below average snd definitely not a memorable dining experience.

I love this restaurant! It’s such a gem in Randwick. The food is delicious and the staff are warm and welcoming. My favourite dish is the spaghetti aglio, olio & pepperoncino. It’s light and flavourful with a hint of spice. More

Good authentic Italian conveniently across the road from the Ritz cinema. Friendly staff. Quick service. Good variety on the menu although would have liked to have had a pizza option. Food was served promptly. All the dishes we ordered seemed a bit overly salty for our liking otherwise nicely cooked delicious food. Generous portions and value for money.

Had great service, we were seated quickly and the waiter was very attentive. The food was very good and came out quickly enough. Only disappointing aspect was that they were out of the fish dish I wanted. Would definitely revisit.
